Do Not, Attract Lightning

If you are one of those people that believes that lightning only strikes metalic objects...

you should probably think again, lightning can strike objects upto ten miles away from the storm center and is attracted to the tallest objects, if you are on a high ridge line or an exposed peak you are likely to be the tallest object, dont be fooled by the odd tree either, secondary strikes can be just as dangerous, current can surge up through your body from nearby ground or tree strikes, for safety sake descend from exposed areas as soon as you see or hear the storm.
